Valley Christian Academy does not have uniforms; instead, we have a strict dress code allowing students to still make individual choices in dress in a modest way.
Boys
Monday – Thursday:
- Plain-colored (except no white) pants - Docker, Corduroy, Khacki style.
- Jeans/Denim any color other than blue (Just not blue jean)
- Walking shorts/cargo shorts
- Shorts are permitted all year (no sweats)
- Collared shirts only (i.e., Polo or dress shirts)
- Belts are required for pants or shorts that are too big.
Hair:
Haircuts must be modest.
Hair must be off the collar.
Hair needs to be out of the eyes.
Hair needs to be off the ears.
Hair must be neatly trimmed and tapered in the back.
Boys must be clean shaven.
Hair must be a natural color.
Not acceptable:
- NO blue jeans
- No white pants
- No sagging pants
- No underwear or boxers showing
- No wide leg
- No t-shirts
- No earrings (Band-Aids may not cover earrings)
- No facial hair
- No long hair
- No Tattoos
- No Athletic shorts or pants
- No Pajama
- No Camouflage
Fridays:
- Long pants only (above rules apply)
- White button-down dress shirt (long or short sleeves)
- Tie (may have cartoons or sports on it) and belt

Girls
Monday – Thursday:
- Loose-fitting, plain-colored, Docker-type (cotton/twill) or
- corduroy-type pants ONLY, Capri-length, and/or
- walking short permitted all year (sweatsuits are not acceptable).
- Top of pants must be at waist level; no below-waist pants allowed
- Loose-fitting skirts (must be at or below the knee)
- Loose-fitting blouse and tops WITH SLEEVES
- Blouses and tops must be at least 3 inches below the top of the pants, AND WHEN RAISING arm to a 90-degree angle; must not be able to see skin
- Shorts should be no more than one-inch above the knee
- White tops must be double-layered so that you cannot see through
- Tights or leggings may be worn under shirts or dresses, but don’t count as length from the skirt to the knee.
Hair:
- Hair Must be a natural color.
- Highlights need to ba a natural color.
- No bright or unnatural hair colors allowed.
Not acceptable:
- NO blue jeans
- No sweats
- No skin-tight pants
- No low-cut or tight-fitting tops
- No sleeveless blouses or tops
- No bare midriff tops
- No high slits in skirts (slit must be at or below knee)
- No see-through white tops (bra must not be able to be seen through tops)
- No Tattoos
- No Body piercings other than ear
- Athletic shorts or pants
- No Pajamas
- No white pants, capris, walking shorts, dresses or skirts
- No Camouflage
Fridays:
- Dress or skirt/blouse (at or below the knee). Above rules apply
- WHEN IT COMES TO SKIRT OR DRESS LENGTH, IF YOU HAVE TO QUESTION IT, IT’S TOO SHORT.

PARENTS & STUDENTS: IF THE ABOVE AND BELOW DRESS CODE IS NOT ADHERED TO, PARENTS WILL BE CALLED TO COME PICK THEIR STUDENT UP AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETURN UNTIL IN PROPER DRESS.
